I just find the humor in it. When I try to force things to go the right way, when everything seems to be going wrong, I just make it worse. Everything seems work out when I just laugh about it and wait for the next stupid thing to happen.

That's a problem for me, too. The day is already gone to shit and I try to just keep going but my own frustration is causing me to either not think or do something stupid that just makes me more angry and frustrated.
I have a lot of those days. That's why I'm almost 30 and already half gray.

I can't say I "make" myself find the humor in it, I just do. Probably a self defense/presevation mechanism. Funny, it was up until I was about 30ish that I would frustrate myself and try to force everything to work the right way. One day I just changed I guess.

Really? Damn, I must be a real stooge, because as serious as I think I am, I'm only now, at over 40, starting to gray. My problem is containing my laughter and swearing so people don't think I've lost my mind from stupid f'ing stuck oil filters, racking the skin off my knuckles changing automotive spark plugs, cutting myself to ribbons trying to open some computer panels...that kind of stuff.

Rode my mates SV 650 to the garage this morning to have the gear lever replaced. Had to change gear by hand. Riding through central london on an unusual bike in first gear was an eye opening experience.
But 2 good things have come from this (ignoring the financial which is like 200 bad things):
1. I was reminded my friend is a good guy cause he's been very cool about the whole thing.
2. I realised how much better my bike is than his. No cuss intended. I mean i knew before it was a superior machine in all ways but i just didnt realise by how much. After 10,000 miles on it i think i started to take it for granted.
So an expensive mistake no doubt. Worth it? Hell no. But trying to be positive...
I LOVE MY BIKE!!!!
(and i hate suzuki side stands)
