ebay, ddm tuning, starrotors.com, FSane. I'm looking at ebay as I can get the HID's and angel eyes with a lifetime warranty under 200. The seller is xebrite on ebay.

nice find! Post pics up when you're done. I would like to see how they work with each other.

I think they make the front end look more like a bug, so I'm not sure about doing it on my 09

But they look pretty sweet on the older models

The HID's on Ebay and many other sites are mostly made in China. 90% of them are cheap (less than $250). Be warned though because I had the same HID's that I bought from Fsane and they fried my voltage regulator and battery because there's no FCC regulations on these things as far as electrical noise goes and initial amperage draw. Why do you think they tell you to replace the 10amp fuse that's on your bike for the stock headlights to a 20amp fuse??? I have talked to 3 local mechanics in my area and replacing electrical system components is a usual occurance when people decide to go cheap on HID's. That was the case with my bike when I took it to shop for a diagnostics test. If you want HID's go with Xetronic or Philips. You will have to spend money ($360) but they are reliable and won't damage your electrical system. You have been warned. You will end up spending more money fixing your bike than the cost of those chinese HID's. I threw my HID's in the trash after that and am now running regular bulbs not worrying if it's damaging my bike.

Don't know about with the 09 but I purchased mine through DDM Tunning. Good price quick shipping and knock on wood so far no problems. I would deff reccomend DDM, they should have the bulb size for you and everything. Good luck with it man!

$49.95 for an HID kit!?!? Oh yea those are cheap! Do they have a stator, voltage regulator and battery replacement policy when those HID's stop working properly?

^ try wiring up a relay harness next time before you blame the kit.

I have a Prolumen ($300) kit on my car, DDM ($50) on my bike. if i had to buy again, i'd get the DDM. they both work the same and i've haven't had any problems.

Yeah my kit was $80. They do have a warranty policy but don't remember what all it covers. I got the 35w kit rather than the 55w which is from what I hear where the problem can come from. (with it being a bigger kit) I have had my kit on for about 4 or 5 months now and havent had an issue so far (knock on wood)

no problem here using chinese "slim HID" from ebay. worked great for over a year.
all HID's have to have a lot of starting current. Just like any arc lamp such as a mercury vapor or sodium lamps. a wiring relay harness that makes your stock wiring simply just trigger the relay and the load comes straight from the battery. that's the right way way of doinjg it. You can buy a relay and inline fuse and make it yourself or buy a kit.
