The Real MC
Just wondering how people feel about motorcycle clubs. Since iv moved to fl iv noticed a bunch of "colors" all over the place. From groups of 2 or three up to about 30 ruff riders and hooters the other night. Are these clubs legit or just guys riding together? I know that you dont touch the harley clubs unless you want trouble but dont really know anything about the rockets guys. What are the thoughts on this? (board out my mind sitting at home just thinking haha)

I've never been one to wear a patch or color. Military is one thing but for something recreational like riding a bike, it just seems a little, I dunno, like when you were 8 and built a club house-ish. I much prefer a group of individuals that don't have any type of agenda. Of course, I'm sure a lot of groups are just friends that always hang out and get colors and patches just for fun. But there's always a chance that it's a group that's involved in some shady shit and how would you know the difference?

Some are legitimate clubs, some are just riding buddies that gave themselves a name. I probably wouldn't join one but there are a few out there that actually do a lot of good for the community...while some are just a bunch of squid douchebags.

myself and some friends started not a club! but a small group of friends that are all interested in track riding. are main goal was to kinda put the word out about the safety of riding on the streets and, getting more riders involved in track riding to enhance skills and get an awareness of hazards around you while riding.
we are a very small group and kinda like it that way. we all have goals may it be racing professionally or just being a better street rider. it seems to work for us pretty well.
one thing is we do not do colors, vests, or no disrespect, but we are pretty biased against the stretched and lowered thing. we ride are bikes for what they were made to do.......race! lol

Colors?? does it make the bike go faster, does it create a force field around you , giving protection from cagers? .
No desire to ride in any club.

I’ve never been in a motorcycle club, Only ZX forums I guess, if it can be called a virtual motorcycle club. I don’t even remember when was the last time I rode with somebody else, if I’ve had. I’ve always hit the road alone and I’ve been riding for 25 years.

I would consider joining a group to do benefit type stuff but the whole colors, pledge of allegiance, rivalry type stuff seems a little highschool cheerleader squad mentallity-ish to me. Guess it depends on the group and why they're a group.

Some are legit. I know of a couple groups that do a ton of good. I personally wouldn't ever join one just because it's not really my thing to have to be tied down to something. Just my opinion though everyone is entitled to theirs

I refuse to belong to any club that would have me as a member.

i think the ZXForums guys should make a club. We could all wear spiffy leather vests...and wear tank tops, open faced skull caps and put car tires on our bikes.......
oh wait. thats what harley riders do....my bad.

I am in one, And its pretty cool. We get discounts on track days, have raffles & the money goes to the childrens hospital. We have bike nights once a month in the winter & twice a month in the spring summer & fall. We just have t shirts & stickers that we put on our bikes. But no exposed colors. Mostly track guys. We have moderate intermediate & advanced rides that usually happen about once a week as long as the weather is good. We also have group track days. & The occasional long trips most the time to other tracks. Anytime we ride together riders are required to have helmet, jacket ,gloves & boots. I would say check the groups out online see if they have a website & what they are all about. Are group use to meet at Hooters but it got a little tight so now we meet at Fox & Hound. Our website fwmr.net Its called Fortworth motorcycle riders its a sport bike club. No squidiots allowed.
