Need your prayers and maybe some help...
Yesterday afternoon, time unknown my step-dad had a very bad motorcycle accident. We have no details about the accident right now. All we know is that he was life-flighted out of the Copper Basin/Ocoee/Polk county TN area. If anybody in that area heard about a wreck yesterday with a "John Doe" please let me know. His motorcycle is MIA as nobody at Erlanger Medical knows what happened or exactly where. If anybody knows the non-emergency number for the above listed area's 911 dispatch it would help greatly. My step-dad has a concussion, fractured right shoulder, broken ribs, fractured pelvis, & fractured right ankle. He has one very small spot of road rash on his right knee. His wedding band and wallet were "misplaced" between the accident and arriving at the hospital. Somehow Chattanooga's 911 dispatch got in touch with our local dispatch who called my parents landlord. This is everything my mother and I know right now. Please pray for another fallen rider who may never ride again. Thank you, Chris.

What the... holy crap! "Misplaced"? Bike gone too? That's low. Really low. WTF is this world coming to?
Good luck man, hope this situation works out.

Sound more appropriate? I think it does, depends on your style though and thats just me.
Man, seriously though, thats not sounding too good. Really hopin and prayin for the best on this for you though! Hopefully some info will make it through. Any Kawi guys up in TN? If anyone lives close, maybe you could check into it and get some info for Chris here. Just to know, Im sure, would help.

Maybe with all the excitement there is some miscommunication. Alot of things happen during an accident. When my wife got in an ATV accident, the fire dept put the atv in the back of one of their trucks and brought it to the station. The wedding band and wallet might be in the helicopter. Just trying to offer a different explanation and hope it all works out. I'm sure everything will turn up when the dust settles.
Wish your step dad a speedy recovery.

I'm sorry to hear that man. I hope your step-dad makes a full and quick recovery.
As for the wallet and wedding ring, that's pretty shitty...but in the grand scheme of things, be happy that the accident wasn't worse. All of that other stuff can be replaced.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. To clarify, we don't know where his bike is because nobody seems to know what happened... He's in less than good mental condition obviously. All he can remember is being in Copper Basin. No memory of the "event". We don't know if he just laid it down or if somebody hit him. No info at this time. As for his wallet, it always stays in his tank bag with his phone. His phone showed up. Mom found his social security card IN his boots when going through his clothes. It's always in his wallet so we're clueless how the SS card arrived without his wallet. Anyway, thank you to everybody.

Thank you everyone. Some new info has been found about the accident. His bike has been located in the area I previously mentioned. As soon as I know for sure I'll be going to check it out. It appears that the accident may have been a Hit & Run by a cager. Still don't have concrete details though. Thank you again everyone.

FINALLY!!! We know what happened. A car pulled out in front of him without looking. He hit the car and went over their hood. It was not a hit & run. The cager is the person at fault. This lifts a heavy burden from our shoulders. We now know we won't be stuck with many thousands of dollars all by ourselves. He had surgery on his pelvis today. I'm not at the hospital so I don't know when he's having the ankle surgery. It looks like he's going to be ok after everything is said & done.
