Medic!Bike Down!
Thats right, some kind person has decided that what they really wanted to do with their Wednesday nite was to reverse into my parked up bike, punch it off it's side stand and destroy it's right hand side! They then decided that rather than come to my door and own up to what they have done that they would race off, leaving me with an unridable bike,no way to get to work,an insurance claim and the associated hassle of recovery to a garage, getting the bike repaired and paying out a large insurance excess just when i'm trying to save for my wedding at the end of December.Pissed off doesn't really cover it .It's been reported to the local police but it was late at nite, there's no CCTV and I live in a quiet residential street, surprisingly the local officer came out tonite and knocked on a few doors, but no one saw anything and as a police officer myself I know the likelihood of getting a result is very slim and consequently the incident has already been No Further Actioned. There's no real point to telling you all this, just a bit of a rant!cheers guy's!

That sucks. I hate it when nobody can fess up to a crime and leave you holding the entire bill. Hopefully something will turn up in your favor.
Whatever happens, don't let it interfere with your wedding. Best wishes to both of you.

Happened to me when I lived in an apartment complex...and like an idiot, I called the insurance company, only to be awkwardly reminded that I only had liability and no collision or comprehensive on that bike. In my case, I had the bike parked in the edge of a parking spot so it'd be hard to mistake it for a free parking spot...they mistook it anyway, hit the bike and drove it the length of the spot (18'-6") and then backed out and either left or parked somewhere else.
So just look on the bright side: at least you have some insurance coverage to fall back on.

I really hate insurance companies , its like youre forced to participate in a scam. It just sucks , you can pay those people for 5 years straight , be accident free , and you can hit a dog , and have to come up with a deductible , i never figured that out , whats all that money you send them thru the years go toward ? oooh look im ranting , geeez.

Some? Try, Most.
Sucks to hear, man. Good luck getting her back up and running. And keep an eye out for people with damage to their cars on your street.

Dude it was probably an accident. But regardless of whether it was an accident or not you own up to your mistakes. You bump someones car you get your insurance information to them. You run over someones bike you get your insurance info to them. Thats why you pay that money for insurance. I am getting real tired of people who only get insurance to prevent getting a ticket if they get pulled over. That is not insurances primaryresponsibility. It is to help you out in the even of an ACCIDENT
Figured I would rant too
Sorry to hear about your situation man. Maybe the cops will figure something
out. Or maybe you will notice something. Hopefully everything goes quickly
and smoothly.
Best of luck to you man

I'm with Shifty 1. I'd keep a sharp eye peeled for fresh, matching bumper damage to local vehicles. People tend to park in the same place in neighborhoods. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your support,it's just been recovered to the garage and just gotta wait a couple of days for the insurance estimate,if i'm honest I just hope it gets written off by the insurance company and I get paid out,i've lost any real interest in the bike now and I could do with getting something else,in the meantime i'm going to take my frustrations out on my Xbox and Halo3:ODST!

Well hope it works out for you man.
How is ODST? to change the subject? Does it have a co-op option?

It's called lobbying and political contributions. I know first hand how it works. Money talks and the insurance companies contribute to elected officials who then give paybacks. Joe citizen is just Joe pawn.

ODST is pretty much all about the co-op and 'Firefight' modes,it's ok but if like me you want a decent single player campaign I would save your money,I've only played for about 3hrs and I'm nearly done!
As to the bike,I'm just off to the garage to see what the damage is and get an estimate to pass on to the insurance company, its making this afternoons visit to DIY places to buy wallpaper with the missus seem like the better option!
