For those who have Winter
For those of you who have winter months where you have to put your bike away for a few months i was curious what you guys do for fun during those times. I personally like to go snowboarding and try to go as much as i can.

I used to live in one of those places; southeast michigan; each year had 2 months of mosquitos and humidity, separated by 35 months of bitter cold, snow, and rust inducing road salt, with an ocassional thaw just enough to get ruts in the melting snow that would re-freeze into deadly zigzags on the roads. I spent those winter months shoveling snow, complaining, and looking for a job someplace warm. btw, i road into work today.

My winter here is probably only going to consist of maybe 2 months but I will probably be doing maintenance on the bike, and any upgrades I can afford. Other than that my schedule has gotten full since school started so lots of studying and working. Other than that I will probably be looking at the bike and sitting on here when I have the time

I play a ton of guitar anyway but during the winter months, it's all the time. Like, "fingers bleeding" all the time. Other than that, anything fun or manageably dangerous that someone comes up with.

A buddy and I are building a dirt car to race under hobby stock rules. I help the same guy with his vintage sled racing team. (I don't ride sleds, they don't like me). Plenty of cross country skiing. Hopefully there will be good snow. It's guaranteed to be cold but sometimes we have a shortage of snow.
Sometime in January or February we'll get into a deep freeze where the lows will push -45C (-49F) and the warmest it will get is about -30C (-22F) then it will be lots of movies, tv, music, sex, video games, whatever works indoors.
Luckily, it's a dry cold.

I try to go snowboarding, and go to rock shows, hole up and eat and drink with friends - the only difference is I can't ride my bike to rock shows, or to meet up with friends.
