No, they are not all the same. There are different styles, colors, materials, "cut", "no cut", you could go with racerailz or a cage, replaceable pucks, etc. It's all about personal preference. And there are tons of places to get them. You could go to your local shop and see what they've got or you could google it. Online, I've used motomummy.com, 58cycle.com, 1tail.com, kneedraggers.com and a few others...all with good experiences.

 I am a frequent buyer from kneedraggers.com
And my 2 cents on frame sliders is lsl crash pads. They seem extremely durable on my 636 and have talked to a user on here who went down with them. Also I believe BDruggan who is another user on here has the LSL pads on his 10r. May want to touch base with him but I figure he will give you the same response.

Thanks, what should I expect to pay?I don't want to pay a fortune for some, but I don't want to waste money on some that won't hold up.Does that make sense?I see all kinds of price ranges...

Mine were 115 with free shipping from kneedraggers. They are not the cheapest sliders but each set of sliders is specifically designed for each individual bike. In other words they don't use the same design for both a 05 zx10r and a 05 GSXR 1000. I eblieve it is the same for you as it is for me but my sliders were no-cut. And to answer any questions you may have about the bracket it comes with an aircraft grade billet bracket that is about an inch and a half thick. So there shouldn't any worries about the bracket snapping off like with some no-cut sliders. Also if you go down and use the puck you can replace the puck without having to replace the entire set of sliders. There are cheaper sliders out there but in my opinionthe 115 was worth it. They have already saved me probably about 400 bucks worth of damage when the bike fell over in a parking lot.
I stand by my decision to buy the LSL crash pads

So they stick out far enough not to harm the plastics in a small tip over? Thats my main goal for sliders personally, but I want to go the no-cut route.

I know mine would save some plastic in a low/no speed drop. They stick out from the fairings a good 3 inches.

The lockhart-phillips were my second choice. The stick out pretty well and think they would be effective in a tip over and low speed drop. My LSL's already saved my fairings. The bike fell over no speed in a parking lot and as far as I can tell there was no damage as a result of it. And just some background I am very aware when it comes to my bike and car so I am pretty sure if there were damage on it I would have noticed. So either way if you go with LSL or lockhart in that particular situation you should be good. Hopefully

Which ones do you have shifty? I'm about to buy a newer bike that is in really good confition and really want to keep it that way lol. My current bike I just sold to my girlfriend has scratched and cracked fairings everywhere (her first bike) so its good for her but now that i have experience and won't be dropping it much if at all, I want to keep everything looking nice.
