handle grips.....
I like to go on long motorcycle rides and after a while my hands start to get a little sore, what im looking for but cant find are grips that are a little thicker and cushier. I guess what im looking for are some thicker squishier gel grips. Does anybody have any that they would recommend?

i think all grips are alike for the most part. Try getting a pair of gloves.

on the gloves....but there is a variety of different textures and densities, effecting the rider's grip, level of fatigue, and vibration. All of this will help with arm pump. I know many who would agree that there is no softer grip than Spider Grips...And yeah, they are gel. Link:

Good gloves! Im sure you can find gloves that have some kind of gel on the palm side of your knuckles or something like that.
To or tuck in and put your elbows on your knee/thigh area.
Or if you need to sit upright or cant tuck, use your legs to support your torso instead of all the weight on your wrists.
Dunno if you do those already, but theyre little things Ive been told and picked up along the way and they do kinda help.

there are alot of things that can help with the hand numbness
first if you have stock grips then definitely some gels will help
2 relax your grip on the bars a bit
3 some heavier bar ends
4 gloves if you dan't have em this is a huge differance if you do then look for
ones with more padding in the palm area
as mentions before use your lags to squeeze the tank and hold you up so less of your weight is carried on your wrists

If you are cool with keeping both hands on the bars, or even if your not, try not tucking your thumb under the throttle. At this point, your hand is just resting on it, and that should be enough pressure to keep it in place. I will usually do this when my hand starts to cramp, and will leave me left hand on the bars until the cramp goes away. Hope that helps a little

They don't vibrate as much.

as Jbear said they don't vibrate as much. I also have hear a few guys swear by dirt bike grips on their road bikes being more comfy on long days but i have not tried that so i personally don't know if it's true

They have a big ass flange on them, but otherwise I don't know why they wouldn't work if the diameter is the same. Which I'm not sure it is...

Talk to BULLDOG he has some, I believe Driven Alumitech grips. They are a little pricey but are supposed to be the best. I was thinking I might try some next time I need grips.
I was about to ask about bar end weights but looks like you have already touched on that.
