Question Weapons On Bikes?!

Just wanted a little input about carrying a weapon on your bike. I recently had a run in with a couple of guys on the road .I was riding one nite with my girl on the back when a car passed us then flicked a cigarette out the window at us. A couple seconds later another! We stopped side by side at a red light, one guy rolled the window down and says: wussup? The other guy flashes a knife. At the next light, they both get out the car and run up on me! I felt real vulnerable cause of my passenger, so i fought with my mind and mouth. Come to find out, they thought i was someone else. Do any of you guys carry weapons on your bikes for instances like this? Jus wonderin`?!

I’m alarmed at the number of incidents I’ve read here regarding seemingly out of the blue attacks against bikers. I’m lucky I live in a peaceful town where it is still hard to imagine that happening to you. Then again it is not the same town it was twenty years ago.

I’ve been thinking for some time now how to install a permanent on board gun on a bike, the same way fighter planes would have on the starboard side; and fire it from a red button on the handle bar controls. And a HUD for aiming. Safes and all .
I think it would be cool, but I don’t know what County would think of it. There must be a law against that.

Here in Louisiana it is legal to carry a gun in your vehicle, even concealed. I wonder if a bike would have same legality.? Seems like it would be an extension of your property.

I got all my girls hand held 1,000,000 volt tasers. Push that button and see the spark and hear the noise and if that doesn't scare the shit outta of you

I thought about this one:

1) Run and hide because I am too exposed on a bike. Find cover and protection so I don't get run over.

2) If they follow, the life and death fight has already started. If they get out and look for me, I open fire with a .45, no questions asked, no hesitation.

just act cool and say "You just messed with the wrong cop (add in personal choice of vulgar words" and reach into either your jacket or tank bag like your grabbing your piece. I have to say this will probally shut up 99% of these punks on the streets.

I'm about to pick up a kel tec pf9. They run around $260 locally in texas. Extremely small so it conceals very easily. I was also looking at glocks, but even the smallest one I dont think would be very comfortable on a bike. Im not going to carry in my backpack or a tank bag, I'm keeping it in my waist band. Even in a shoulder holster, youd still have to unzip your jacket. If youre at a gas station and some puts a gun to your head, theyre not going to let you unzip anything...but as soon as they get on the bike, ill have my half second to draw and fire.

Also, check your state laws. Texas is very lenient. You can shoot someone running away in your driveway if they were trying to steal something/hurt you...hell, a guy got away with killing two intruders after they were running away from his neighbors house after they broke in there. Which is exactly the way it should be. If more people started fearing for their life for stuff like that, there'd be less crime...not to mention not having to pay for their dumb ass in jail.
