Hit and ran over by a truck today.
Hey guys. Writing on my iPhone from my hospital bed. Was heading to work this morning and a truck does a u turn in front of me from the right lane and I'm in the left and slam into the side of him going 45ish. Somehow my bike and I end up under the truck and get dragged about 25 yards before the back tire runs over my chest and left shoulder. Been moved out of the ER, chillin in my hospital bed with my neck brace on. So far looks like no broken bones, but holding me over night for potential internal damage. I can only really move my left arm and it's taking forever to type on my phone. Anyways I haven't seen the bike but I hear there is no front end anymore, I was wearing all my gear but still have a little bit of road rash. That's it for now. I'll write more when I can use a computer and not hopped up on morphine.

Well I hope you fully recover fast man. So the truck left the scene? Were there any witnesses? Any idea who was driving the truck ?

Holy shit...
I'm new here but that's f*cking nuts, what happened to the driver? Is he around to answer up to his bullish?
Glad (and amazed) to see that you're in good enough spirits to get right back on a forum and start posting, it'd be the last thing I would think about...Get better soon, tell us how you're doing I'm sure everyone here is anxious to hear.
ALL THE BEST - ZX

god I cant even imagine getting run over by a truck, its amazing you didn't break anything. Did your bike take some of the weight off of you like was it next to you and the truck hit it first and maybe skipped over you haha sry it just seems amazing you didn't break anything?
Get well soon :)

How the fuck do you get run over by a truck and not break any bones? Dude, are you a superhero? No, seriously though, glad to hear you made it out alive and in good spirits. Heal up quick and get that fucking dumbshit cager to buy you a new bike, car, maybe another bike, etc.
I'm not gonna speak on your behalf but, just to nip it quick, I'm betting that the cager didn't go driving away after getting T-boned at 45. Even by a bike, that would cripple a vehicle. Odds are, the momentum of both vehicles is what caused the dragging but let's not jump to conclusions without further info. Either way, the cager fucked up and they will pay one way or another.

Oh Shifty, I love you man....cuz that is EXACTLY what I was thinking...run over your fucking chest and you still have lungs? I guess that rules out you wearing a Superman shirt and me shooting you in the chest for the Superbleeder joke....cuz there wouldn't be a joke you freak of nature haha...all love goes out to you, get well soon...don't fly to my house and kill me...later bro.

Superhero is right, that's what I was thinking too just too shocked by what I read to write about it in my post. But you know what they say, good things happen to good people...they also say bad things happen to good people, so I guess you're the recipient of both those things...F*cking nuts man...Hearing about this will definetely help my gear stay on me at all times, so once you read this, know you even helped somebody ;)
My best wishes and prayers,
Again, all the best and hope to hear a post from you soon :)

wow. cant believe this. hope you pull through it 100%
my wife was critizing me last night for buying a pipe for my bike and i said its for my safety so people hear me. then she says what are you talking about i always see people on bikes. she said if its so dangerous then sell the bike. i proceed to inform her that she notices bikes cause i am on one but the 45 year old lady that is single and knits daily dont see us just like she dont see how much her tits sag to her knees.
feel better bro. RIP636
