I use an Alpine stars perforated leather jacket for the summer. Dress for the slide not the ride.

For the hot local riding
Dainese Air Frame.
Kinda pricey but you get what you pay for.
Although it didn't come with the back protector
https://www.cyclegear.com/gear/daine...rame-d1-jacket

For cooler temps and highway riding
Icon Hypersport Prime
It's also a perforated leather jacket that is very well ventilated and offers more protection

I use a Yanagawa rep Texport suit - more perforations than a tea bag and cool, cooling carbon fibre ducts in the shoulders that blast cold air down my back (at strictly legal speeds - honestly).
Only drawback is it only has one pocket that, when I cram it full of keys, smokes, phone, lighter and wallet...makes me look like I have one breast. If their jackets are as good as their suits then they are definitely worth a try.

I never feel safe with just a jacket. But that's just me.

I did used to use a Dianese jacket and strides, err pants, years ago - bit pricey but good gear + I found the fit a bit better suited to me than a lot of the others.

I don't know if you can get Heine Gericke stuff in the US, their stuff is good and cheaper than some too.

A ROTM winner yes, really! Blame bungles & WillZX14

I have a Tourmaster Flex 3-season jacket and pants combo. They come with thermal and rain liners, although I prefer a rainsuit. The outer jacket zips off to reveal armored mesh and panels zip on and off the pants to expose more mesh.

I think this is the older model jacket (pants are the same) that got trashed when the dog tried to kill me. I bought a second set and the jacket is different. I thi9nk the older model had panels like the pants rather than an overjacket.

It may be a pig, but it's a pig with a rocket in it's ass!

Like Zed said,
I found Dainese to have the best fit
Actually the Icon feels good too
I go to Cycle Gear and try on all kinds of jackets.
Sizing is different between brands and can get frustrating.
A good fitting jacket is better for comfort and protection just like getting a helmet that fits right.

I've been sporting the SSGear stuff for a while now and like the fit and finish. But agree, so many choices out there.

If it's way too hot for the leather (over 90), then I ride with the Midnight Express.

I was XL in Joe Rocket stuff, Large in one and had to go XXL in a different one... forget the other two brands, I took pics of them so I could remember later.. but huge differences...

That's the cool thing about Revzilla, they give you a one time 'opps' size change for free...they even pay shipping.. I love amazon, but have been trying to lean away from big corporate purchases and go smaller... I know Revzilla isn't my local shop, but they aren't amazon either...haha...

But I think I am going to order that one I said above... just need to watch video and make sure on size... I like the idea of the outer cover with mesh inner jacket...like two jackets in one...

Thanks guys for all your support, here and everywhere else on this board... ZX guys are the best.

Same here for summer days. I have two other Dainese jackets for progressively colder.

Any riding apparel is hard to buy over the internet, even gloves all fit different
Unless you actually tried something on and then shop the internet but I use Cycle Gear.
They might be a bit pricier but they take care of anything even years after I've purchased something and bring it back without a receipt.

I agree the video sold me, and the discounted price a solid close......

ACK!!!

Amazon beats Revzilla by $17 for the same Jacket, Free Shipping as well. Contact Revzilla and ask for price match.

I had gear up and all at once so price was an issue. I'm a nice weather rider, the Joe Rocket textile jacket is a bargain I think. Good amount of zippers open up for ventilation, and has decent armor all over including the back.

haven't tested it yet on those cook an egg on the sidewalk days, but we'll see.
