So am I. But it's not raining today soooooo, me thinks a little riding is going to get done this afternoon. I've got some 016's getting mounted Thursday and still have a few miles left on my M3's. So, I think I'll try to burn those up today.

Excellent post. Answered alot of questions. For instance, right now I am running contiSportAttacks and I have no issues with them.

ZX12 Tyres
Hi can any one help, is it ok and safe to use a 180 instead of a 200 rear tyre on my 2003 ZX12, there seems to be more tyre options out there.

It wouldn't fit the rim correctly. Stick with the 200.

Yes, I have...and it's a little frustrating. I mean, a lot of information is readily available on this site. If you search, then you get your answer right away rather than having to wait for someone to reply to a post.
But if you think we've seen a lot of "which tire" posts lately, wait until Spring.

That or even just hit up google too. There are a lot of instant answer places you can get to in a matter of seconds!

bt 016. front tyre done 3500 miles. loads of tread left in the centre but sides are just coming up to wear marks.
rear was aligned to marks on swinging arm which were way out, so only got 2000 miles - centre bald /sides loads left. new rear aligned properly using straight edges and 1500 miles on still looking great.
no chicken strip on rear and negligable on front. pics to follow in a couple of hours. power slides on rear are so controllable its like being glued. not a sudden slide but nice and slow drift.
i cant see me going for another tyre apart from maybe the conti attack which sound a bit better for durability.
front - note bald on sides but tread still on centre

mine had 10 mm difference when measured either side of the front front wheel from two alloy straight edges aligned with the back wheel.
didnt feel wierd when ridden but obviously the tyre is scrubbing against the direction slightly hence increased wear. the factory marks are way out.
bouind to cause more wear on tyre and chain/sprockets.
5 mins with some spanners and 2 straight bits of wood etc and its sorted.

I'm pretty sure the way this is supposed to go is that you give us your thoughts, you being the one who has them.
I am curious too, I've been wondering how the Q2 is for months.

Well so far so good on the Q2's have only put about 100 miles on them, all street riding, but they feel good. They warm up insanely fast, give you knee dragging confidence right out of the garage. Can't wait to get more miles on them, it's raining here right now.

I have my 4th set of bt-016's on my bike now...also have a set of q2's and a set of corsa iii waiting in my garage...I am going to use the q2's next and i'll write up a comparision against the bt-016's as they are the only other tire i have used (except shitty stock bt-015). A buddy of mine is using the q2's and he loves them..said its the best tire he has ran as far as grip...life is still to be tested. I have seen him on Corsa iii's, 2ct's, pilot power race, bt-016's and metzler m3's...so I am looking foward to trying them.
