The charge is 45 a tire for them to put them on the bike. Is that what you were asking?

That's not bad, I know I pay more than that. I think my shop charges $35 each if you bring them the wheel.

I'm trying to make people feel welcome. Sheesh. And sometimes I say, "Nice ride."

29 today so far. The only reason I noticed is because I'm off today and every time I check back on the active topics (which is way too often because I'm bored as hell), you were the last poster on half of the active topics threads. You must be as bored as I.

yeah I think they charge less (think 25) at my shop if you bring them the wheel without the tire. But I figured I would ride the bike up and have someone follow me up with the tires to change them. I still don't have a front stand so cant take the wheels to them without the tires.

Yeah, that's what I was asking.

To be honest, I'm a little surprised at both of your prices. The place I go to charges $25 a tire (off the bike) and $40 a tire (on the bike) whether you buy the tires from them or not. I guess that little shop's even better than I thought.

I guess it is. I would love a cheaper install price. I am flat broke from buying my new ECU

I hear ya. Even at $25 a tire, it's money. I've been trying to talk a few people into going in on a tire changer that we could all use as we need to. I figure it would pay for itself within 2 years but I can't seem to talk them into doing it with me.

Dude it would deff be an investment. Plus when you get good with it you could charge other people which would pay for itself even faster.

It has just been one thing after another and I need to save some cash for school. So like I said hopefully when I talk to my shop they will be able to cut me a deal. They have earned some serious cash from me in the past month and a half so hopefully they can do something.

I bought my tires at Cycle gear. They charge $10 a tire to mount and balance or $20 each if you bought the tires somewhere else.
I brought my Honda shaft drive into the dealer where I bought my 14 from and they charged $51 to change the rear tire that i supplied. Amazing what they charge you for, $1 shop supplies, $3 tire disposal fee, and $4 other. WTF is other?

Damn, wish my cycle gear did that. My cycle gear is purely a store they don't do anything else

Indeed. I was off work today, but I think I'm usually this big of a whore when things are happening here?

And truth be told, Shifty is pulling away from me. I seem to remember a time not too long ago when we were less than a hundred posts apart.

Me too. Mainly just to keep an eye on things...checking for spam, duplicate threads, etc. but I have been posting like mad for the past couple of weeks.

Obviously work must be slow for you. I think that's why we're all post whores lately. I try and stay away from the pc but I'm drawn to it out of boredom. And the heat outside isn't helping.

Well I'm working for an IT company doing security so basically I sit at a desk watch a couple monitors and have access to the internet so... you can draw your own conclusion that I cant really stay away from the comp and this helps keep me alittle sane. The forum and right now old episodes of Scrubs.

Good thing is that you're working. I haven't worked my regular job for almost 2 months. Good news on the horizon. Although I might miss the abuse from JBear and the gang. NOT!!
