great ride you guys, learned a lesson today: never turn the handle bars while pulling out onto the road. Luckily bike started pretty quickly, usually takes 2-3 minutes when I tip it over. Thanks for the free gas Patrick
oh and pics from my August bike trip, my hands were too tired after getting back so never posted it before:

Indeed! very good times and no significant issues; minus Jon's mishap. Whereabouts was this close call?
The waitress was somewhat on that shit.

I just looked through all 70 photos man. Your trip is an inspiration to me dude. Incredible journey. Especially where you pitched a tent about 10 feet from where you parked your bike

11k miles and I'm still making some newbie mistakes
never too early to plan for the MotoGP races at Laguna next year, it would be fun to do it as a group
Life's just fun when you're rollin' ya know

I did stay at a motel on the 4th night, hot water is NOT something to take for granted.

I basically picked the roads I wanted to go on and just bungee netted a tail bag (with emergency supplies, snacks, clothes), sleeping bag, tent, and a gallon of water to the back and took off. I guess I kinda wanted to test my limits also, definitely felt good to not really have a need to be somewhere at a certain time

yeah, I didn't do the carb sync as well as I thought and the bike wouldn't launch at all if I was stopped on an incline so had to rev the engine up to 5-7k rpms before letting the clutch out. Tried to do it as smoothly as possible but I guess not, it was scary the first time it happened cuz I had no idea what was going on but then I was like "hey, I just pulled off a wheelie!"
Tearing the bike down tomorrow to try to do the carb sync right but atleast I know how to wheelie now

...a little less strips on the tires. Not too bad for being a month & 6 days old and being only my 2nd canyon ride since installing them.
Need to be where Nick, Dylan & Ray are at.
I favor my right side. Not quite there, in being comfortable, on my left.
