Not really that kinda crowd. The Ink & Iron show I went to was more like that (rockabilly); and was actually a better show than this.
This was a mixed crowd, with more of an emphasis on the harley riders. Like you said, I just made the best of it; something to peep out. Doubt I will ever go back in the future though.

I laid down my bike today up at GMR on a dirt turn out. I was pulling out and turning, lost balance and she laid on her left side. Slider saved the bike from major damage. Got some scratches on the lower fairing and slider. Other than that it was ok. Never, ever ever, stopping on dirt again!!!!! LOL

Damn.
Glad you're OK with minor damage. Dirt roads are no good and after I get my bike back with all the mods, I'm going to be that more inclined to avoid that shit.
Reminds me when we first hit Ortega and both Gary & I almost lost it when we pulled into that store parking lot, at the base, when we ran over some gravel at the entrance.

Same here. I am avoiding any dirt turn outs. Learned the hard way, but at least it wasn't a high speed fall.

Gixxer front fender BUSTED!! -my fault
Hey guys, learn from an idiot: I have to replace my front fender on the gixxer now. I had a new fender last month, in my garage, as spare. Gotta put it on one day soon, now.
I damaged it because, like a dummy, I forgot to remove my Xena disc lock before rolling the bike. As the front tire rotates, the disc does its job and HITS the fender, thus stopping further movement. I did this TWICE!! .
First time, the crack in my fender was not even noticable. My son said "leave it dad. Use the new one later". So I did just as he said. Then. . . .I did the same f'ng thing AGAIN, Friday, as I was leaving Polly's Pie shop. I Did not think about the disc lock because I was approaching the bike from the rear-so I did not even see it. So I just hopped on her, unlocked the steering, proceeded to roll back and POP!!! that shit went . If I had approached the bike from the front, NO WAY I would have missed it because it just stands out and catches your eye. So this time, the original damage increased to a 5 to 6 inch split . And now, it stares at you if you look at the front wheel. The original "crack" was only 2 1/2 inches long- but hidden, because the fender is BLACK. My son could NOT find the original 2" inch crack! I had to hint to him, then he said: "ohhhhh - i see it".
So, I just need to swap out the busted one, and install my new one. Got the new one on eBay for $120 shipped. Sounds like a lot, because it IS a lot ! But it is OEM, brand spanking NEW- shiney!
** My old, forgetfull ass. . . I shudda got the Xena "ALARM" disc lock
POP, SNAP !! _____ . All I could say was: "GOT!! DAMMIT" _____

Here is a quick pic of GMR today. If I would have known there was a camera guy there, I would have done a better pass.

hey Brian! I go to gixxer-forum.net. The gixxer is running very well, thanks. I use the Suzy as my work transpo, and it is good for that. I take the BIG 14 out for the weekend excursions. The 14 has that comfort ride, that is better for an all day'r.
If you go onto gixxer.net, my sn is bikerboy4life . . . makes sense right? But the reality is, I don't post or hang out there too much . I mostly post and read this forum. I like here better because I know and ride with you guys. I guess I should try to meet some Suzuki guys, but I'm satisfied rollin' with the Kawi boys, right now. You guys are a lot of fun. But, if you know a good group of Suzuki boys that ride safe and are as fun as our Kawi group, invite me, and I'll show up based on your recommendation
I miss Alex and Waleed. I hope they are doing well. They are good company for our group, you know.
Hope to ride with you and the fellas soon(hopefully this weekend). Have a safe, good week Brian
