SoCAL rider, newbie
Checking in, but bike IS NOT ready YET. 07 zx-14
needs so much work, new fairing, new paint, also looking for small exhaust 4:2:1
hate the HUGE REAR rocketlaunchers now. Small and low, quiet, doesn't exist. Muzzy GPs too loud, any suggs? THEN I NEED TO RETUNE PCM...
Also need new mirrors, $300+someone is kidding...
Can I sub the new 2009 matte black fairing on my '07? I want a real quiet stealth look, Rat rod matte black throughout, not the shiny Sapphire blue metallic disco.... LOL! Less ostentatious is better.
Any ideas on parts let me know- thx
Def. keep me updated on SoCA rides, another day in paradise, STAY SAFE.

Exhaust suggestions: if you want quiet, the best two mfg.'s I can suggest are: Yoshimura/single or dual. Also, Ti-Force/dual cans. Their muff's are quiet, and last a long time.
Remember: Slip-ons are more quiet than Full exhaust. But Full exhaust will yeild more power!
And you are correct. you will need to retune for the new exh. system.
Good luck!

Nope; not on yet and will not be anytime soon. The mounting flange Is going to be taken off to be powder coated too.
In fact, I just found out that my rear tire can't be repaired and I'm waiting on new tires to arrive anyway. So, I'm having my friend (who works on my truck and will help strip down my bike) come by with his trailer to come pick it up today.
So...now begins the down time with no bike.
I'll have the exhaust in hand, though, probably this week so I'll post a pic. It looks good with it being shortened and with the custom badge.

Pictures of today's bike night/day at Chaparral Motorsports. I left before it got packed. Tons of vendors and giveaways.
My favorite bike of the whole day, a white Gixxer.
When I first got there. Still early.
Custom bike.

Will do, but it feels good to break a rule once in a while.
My ticket came in the mail, $200 for crossing the double yellow. How much was yours?

So I gave him my crossing the double ticket. Fingers crossed!
