We can hit up the 74 hwy.. Ortega!! A little over half way in they have a place called Hells Kitchen. It's pretty good food and a great place to check out other bikes. The only thing is some people that want to go for a ride might not be ready to get sidewayz!!!

the 74 really isn't that bad of twisties IMO. brian and i ran it last weekend and it wasn't bad at all. maybe because some guy on a bmw was slowing us down and a few pick up trucks

I went up to Banner Grade twice last weekend and it was fun. Except my friend on his Yamaha YZF600 locked up his back tire on a turn and ended up totaling his bike the second day. He's fine though.
I've never done the 74 I don't think. Is it comparable to Banner Grade? (78)

Biggest difference between the two is that Ortega Highway's traffic can be relatively heavy and not too many places to pass safely. The only sharp drop coming from the west is at the end by Lake Elsinore, really can't compare with Palomar's fast side thou. I would also like to warn beginners that these roads my not be for you. Just a heads up....

I vote for 74 then. Done all the others might as well add it to the list.

I have not done much canyon riding except for a little stint back & forth down Topanga Canyon my way but I'm willing to check it out as long as it's not too crazy.

Topanga Canyon is a short nice ride but 74 is at least 30 - 40 mins but not too crazy.
