saw a bit of blue sky when I woke up and had to go riding yesterday, got a couple raindrops on me but nothing serious, hope it's sunny in a couple weeks

Rain all day today and the 10 day does not look good; at least for my neck of the woods.

Northridge 10 Day Forecast

...well; I'll have time to slap on my new K&N filter before the next ride.

I did that a couple weeks back, just a tip about the fuel tank if you're going to be taking it off, place a paper towel under the petcock because fuel will spill out, I tried turning the petcock to the off position and letting it idle for 20 minutes and it still spilled. The easiest way I found to take the hose off the petcock is to undo the 4 bolts on the tank, lift the top of the tank with your right hand from the left side of the bike so that it is at about a 60 degree angle and then undo the clamp and pull the hose off with your left.

The bike is definitely louder and more aggressive sounding, can't really feel a difference but then again I haven't taken it above 9,000 rpm.

Good info!

Thanks; man. I was just going to do it my garage, but now I think I'll pull it out on day when there is a break in the weather and do it outside; just in the event that I do spill some gas. My tank is pretty much full right now and I don' think I'll be riding at all this week.

takes about 30-45 mins. have a side table to put the tank on, be careful not to damage the petcock

We (Bong & I) would probably meet you with Live2Ride in Laguna Hills as we did last time; if the 2 of you are close to each other. From there we would hook up with the SD folks in San Clemente.
