Naw, man...I think emro1205 is talking about the SD meet spot at the 5 fwy and 76 junction Chevron station; in Oceanside.
Just the SD folks were to meet there at 8:30 then hook up with us at 9:30 in San Clemente. Since we did not have each other's digits; I guess he could not know that we were kickin' it in San Clemente waiting.
Oh well.
The next time we plan this, we may need to (at least) exchange cell numbers with everyone via PM so texting is possible for any issues.

221 mi round trip for my ass; which was a little sore on the 110 mi straight trip back home.
PCH & Las Brisas was cool though.

No prob...
Like I said; I've been there so I know what you're sayin'.
From the time I first started riding on the freeway to the point of feeling comfortable took about 1½ months. I pushed myself by traveling a little further every time. I would primarily ride the freeway on the weekend and at night when the traffic was not ridiculous. Next thing you know, I was commuting in rush hour traffic.
Still...everyone has their own pace, so follow your own. Don't feel obligated to push the envelope any further than what you feel comfortable with. You'll enjoy the ride more that way.
...at least that's my 2 cents.

Nice to see at least the 4 of you got to ride that day. I had that same Kawasaki mesh jacket when I laid the bike down. Rest assured that thing works!

Well sounds good to me! It seems like a pretty nice jacket. I just hope I never have to see how nice it works!

If the weather is good and we did it around the same time on a Saturday, I'd be down. I would prefer Saturday than Sunday. It would also be nice if there were some other participants (LA area) so I was not driving 110 miles back myself...but no problem if I had to.

That may work.
I was thinking about going to the NHRA Winternational drags on that day; but that was not a sure thing. I guess I'll see how many people are actually talking about participating this time.
