Exhaust Does sound really Matter?

I just brought a 2008 ZX10r, and i like the way the factory exhaust looks ( I know its quiet) My question is Besides making your bike sound good does it really matter if you change the exhaust?......
Do you really notice the extra hp if any WHILE RIDING ONCE THE EXHAUST IS CHANGED?
My third question is a power commander nessary to ajust the fuel flow or RPM...what ever it does. would your bike run different without them, would you even notice the differents?

If you get a full exhaust system upgrade, then you'll most likely gain a couple of HPs. Slip-ons/Bolt-ons generally will give you minimal if any hp change at all. You'll notice the difference on the hp gains on the track, I doubt you'll notice any difference (besides the sound) on normal everyday street riding.

Installing a power commander with a good/optimized map will definitely improve the performance of the bike. You'll notice a smoother and more responsive running engine. It'll cost you some $$ though to get a custom map but well worth it.

Full Exhaust systems generate anything between 5-10 HP depending on what system u use they sheed weight off ur bike sometimes about 20lbs and sound really good compaired to the stock one yes there are really loud ones and some that aren't, I personally like the ones that would fall on a 7 if we were measuring from 1-10 loud but not Brocks loud, as far as a PC3 it makes it posible to adjust air & fuel on specific RPM's thru out ur power curve but u really don't need one with slip ons or full systems but they do improve ur power response and help fix flat spots that ur bike has.BTW u need a custom tune to get the most out of a PC cause there's no two bikes that are identical there only similar at best.
