Thumbs up Wanna Thank woman from another site for directing me here!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys and gals.
My name is Lacy and I live ion central Ontario Canada
and last Friday night my 1988 ninja was taken out by my friend and motorcycle mechanic and sideswiped.

I can't belive it.
I have had this baby since 1988 where I drove it for the first time as it was built right out of da crate.

I am completely beside myself and am not too sure what to do.
It was not my friends fault so the insurance company wants to offer bluebook price on it.

There is no way that I am going to get the value of this bike so what I want to do is get as much as I can for it and get parts to rebuild her cause I LOVE my baby ninja. I just can't live with it.

I have a huge parts list and know that the parts that fit this range from the year 1988 to 1996.
I suppose I look around here to see what i can find but if anyone thinks they can help me I sure would appreciate it.

I really want my bike back

It has just over 26, 000 kms on it

Is this not the [place to be asking this kind of thing?

Well that's a bitch, really sucks when a bike gets dinged, but when it is done whilst other people are in charge of it, then that sucks the big one more, sorry to hear about your baby, and unfortunately insurance will only give the value of the BB, that bites even more, it could be time to think about a new baby to add to your stables though, this could be a sign you know?.

Bulldog.

Adding pictures? have you tried a FREE photo hosting like www.photobucket.com

Sorry to hear about that Lacy. Never nice to lose the bike you grew up with. Lost mine the other day to a car, but i won't be rebuilding that one - i look at it as n opportunity to get something better! (i.e. faster!)

I hope your friend is ok too.

For parts, can't really help you, but i used to ride a ninja 250 here in the UK (zzr250) and looking at your pic i think yours is a 250, which is pretty much the same as your bike underneath the plastics so if you need spares like a rad/hoses or something like that, then you can always get them from a newer bike (frame number EX250-H1-H13).

Oh there were no injuries whatsoever otherwise I would not be so liberal with my comments. I'm not even upset with my friend who totalled the bike. It was an accident and was NOR his fault.
I've known this guy for 30 years now. Bikes no matter how precious, can be replaced, people can't.
I lost a brother due to a bike accident so don't take that kind of stuff lightly.

Thanks so much for this info.
You guys truly are great and I sure appreciate it.
