ZX-10, or the ZX-14?

i'll start by saying... well.. my girl wants to join me on some rides.. do i think we will be doing huge 3-500 mile trips?... probably not. i do think she will enjoy it... but i think the over-night getaways.. well we'll probably keep using my truck...

the bike i have is not gonna cut it for two-up... my duc barely handles me and my aggression... i'm 6'2 and about 215...and i can do my track days and twisty's on the duc... but the idea of owning one of the new 10r's is appealing, but i'm curious about the backseat ride...

of coarse i believe the 14 to be a strong contender.. (the busa is just tooo ugly) .. but i do like the look of the 10r.. and an occasional outing to the twisty's on a 10?.... well...
anyone out there do some two-up on the 10?... would love to get some pillion opinions for the 10.

and as far as the 14... that recall kinda came and went... did many people get affected by it?.. because i'm considering '07s as well.. thanx for the feedback...

Of course both motorycycle's are perfectly capable of carrying 2 people, however I would suggest getting a 14. For one, the 10's seat is a very small triangle that doesn't exactly fit everything on there, it's ok for the short rides but stay away from anything over 10min. It starts to hurt and is very hard and somewhat uncomfortable from what I hear. The 14 though not as nimble as the 10r, is ALOT more comfy by far(so I hear) and has a larger seat and is slightly more cushiony because of the bigger size, apparently kawasaki has been keeping touring in mind during the developement of this one. So if one day you do decide to go for a really nice long ride, you can go for it and no butt-pain. Also, I have seen people knee-drag on a 14 believe it or not, the turns aren't quite as tight though, but it gets the job done. Besides, that's what your duc is for right? But your call man. Get what you like. Just my $0.02

thanx for the feedback.... it's funny when other people repeat yer own thoughts....

i like the 14 .. been on one...that's why i started checking out this sight... and yes the new 10 is sweet looking too..

most likely i'll be adding mods to a 14... rims, pipe , the usual.. then i'll do a track day on the 14 for fun... hunt me down some R-1's for lunch....
