Oil pan crack

Friday night I decided to change the oil on my 03 ZX6(basically my girlfriends bike now) I started the job frustrated already hoping I would feel better after working on the bike. WRONG, I overtightened the drain plug and put a hairline crack in the oil pan about 1/2 inch tall. You think I should 1. weld it back together 2. buy a new oild pan(really dont wanna spend the money) or 3. jb weld it, let it set for a night throw some oil in her and see what happens?

You need a new oil pan dude... No question about it. The good news is that you may be able to get a good deal on eBay or at an online motorcycle salvage yard. Check out gotmotoparts.com Good luck.

weld it. but, weld it inside & out. (it's aluminum, right?)

jb won't hold up to the temp changes...learned that on a tranny pan on my nova.

if you get a new one, post pics of the bottom-end of the engine.
