I say don't run, unless you have your plate hidden and another set of complete fairings of a different color ready to put on at home. They'll recognize your bike which will provide a shit load of unwanted harassment and stalking that you can do nothing about, however if you do pull over, they won't go so hard on you, knowing that you could've run at any moment and got away, but chose to stop.

And your freedom.

I'll pull over 99.999999999999999% of the time, if a cop is already tailing you with his lights then it's just idiotic to run unless you don't have a plate on your bike and know the area ridiculously well. The only time I've done something somewhat similar to this is back when I had an untitled plate, and I got tagged by radar doing probably 25 mph over by a pig on the side of the highway, as the cop got back into his car to come get me I suspect-- the highway took a turn and I took the first exit I could. It wasn't the smartest thing to do but if the circumstances are such it's just not worth the hassle of a ticket and higher insurance rates

Yeah, there are a ton of bikes here and most people dress like they're going to the beach on them. You'd have to be pretty unique to be recognized.

If you run make some left turns. If cops lose sight of you they assume you have made a right turn somewhere. And if you're serious about running wire a rheostat (dimmer) into your lights.

^^ Yea, but it doesn't do wonders for our rep and would cause them to take more drastic measure in attempting to catch us.

I'm with SamW. The only time I would ever run is if I know there's no way the cop got my plate. There are a ton of bikes out here too, so the issue of harassment would be a non issue really.

Anybody that runs is a fool.....No exceptions. Not meant to anger you but it is not worth it. A ticket and some cash is much better than the loss of your life. We had a good friend here a year ago he was a mechanic at my local dealer and he rode with us and partied with us he was a good guy and made a bad decesion one night and thought he could out run a cop and he might have but there is always another one and a radio and it doesn't end till they get you......or you run out of luck cause your pushin it to get away and slide into a gaurd rail and end up the first one to your own funeral and we get to watch the chase video on the news of you sliding head first under a gaurd rail. If you run or have run and got away with it congrats...you were a succesful fool, next time you might let all your family and friends down and they'll all ride there bikes to your funeral.

I'm not responding to debate or be dick it is just a fact it is not worth it just to be able to tell your buddies you did it. Becuase in the end thats the only reason you would do it it isn't that bad to pull over and pay a fine or get a ticket. Besides every biker that wrecks just makes every other bikers insurance higher to boot.

Lets have fun on our bikes but.. own up, if you did it be a man and be responsible for your actions and live to have some more fun tommorow.

This is just too perfect for this thread. Short vid, although it's liveleak- nothing graphic.

The answer to this question, and probably the cheapest way too.

ehhhh.... good points but i will still go for the throttle instead of the brakes, especially at night.if your going even just 70mph and the cops doing zero when he sees you plus the time to pull out you got a huge lead to make some random turns a find a good place to hide for a little while or if your close enough just go home or a friends place. also theres a lot of places you can go on a bike that you cant on a crown vic or ford explorer. ex. back when i was a senior in high school and just learning how to ride street i got put in the principals office with security guard and cop. the night before some body had escaped the law by leading the cop into the school parking lot and then ridin up on to the handicap ramp onto the sidewalk and back on the street never to be caught and they tried to blame the 18 year old senior and his gs500. cops cant catch a good bike with a good rider
