Do I need to?
I wanna drag my bike and will do extensions soon. My question is, do I really need to lower my bike after doing the extensions? Stock seat height on the ZX-14 is natural for me, plant both feet solid on the ground with the bike straight up, but I know that lowering the bike also help lower drag times... what to do?

I like the look too, just wondering how bad will handling be affected which may be a moot point since Miami doesn't have curves... maybe I'm biased after riding my friend's lowered busa, handles like a truck; then again, that's a zook, not a kawi.

Hey Zulu, dropped mine last year front and rear and can only say it handles better than ever, unless your doing some track time or some real serious twisties a few inches on the swingarm aren't going to change your turn in a noticable amount. I love the way she looks lowered it should've been made that way

Hey Zulu whats up bro, i would say lower it for two reasons it will help with the front not coming up on you on a hard launch ( i did it last weekend on my buddy's 14 and his was stretched 6 over) it will come up a couple inches but not enough to get you worried. 2.it looks absolutely beautiful. the handling will be afected but like you said its Miami baby and the only curves you are going to get are the ones on South Beach Blvd . I will be coming down that way sonn hopefully bro i miss it too much.

Remember as well, by putting on an extended swingarm, your seat will be raised a little. So, if you lowered it, you could put it back to it's normal height. Know what I mean?

For the occasional drag race at the strip, would you lower the front also or just worry about the rear. Or do both have to be done?
I was reading about the front straps damaging the radiator or other front end parts. Is this operator error or is there a brand that works best?

Strap the front, too. If someone damaged their radiator, it's the fault of the person with the bike. When you strap the front you'll have about a foot of the strap dangling loose. I take a couple of plastic cable ties and put them around the loose part of the strap. Holds it in place really good. I've got Brocks which I believe I got from Schnitz.

Thanks, mokaw. My shopping list seems to never end at Schnitz.
