Those are pretty good 60 foot times. How are you launching it?

launching at 12,000 slipping the clutch. those 60s are decent but the bike has more in it. i guess its me holding it back. i will be happy when i get them in the low 1.50s.

i have only been back one time with the gas. its a 25hp shot with a spraybar, and 2 1/2 lb. bottle. ran 6 times still had nitrous left. im figuring 8 good 1/4 mile passes with the 2 1/2 lb. bottle. track wasnt hooking too great. could only manage a best of 1.67 60 ft. time. still ran a 10.00@137mph.

Those are excellent times for a 636. You must be a really good rider.
The best I did on my 14 this year is 9.23 @148 mph. This is with bars. I only made 18 passes all year. Hopefully I'll do better next year. Experience is the best teacher.

i consider myself to be an ok rider. when i can get my 60ft. times down in the low 1.50s, then i would agree im a decent rider. right now i am a student of the game, trying to learn.

My best 60' was 1.36 - Best 1/8 mile was 5.89 @125.8 mph. These aren't too bad, but rememeber, I have wheelie bars. I wasn't doing what the bike is capable of on the last half because of the M/T flat slick I was using. As your accelerating down the track, the tire balloons up and this kills the gearing. I have a Shinko Ultra 008 curved slick I'm going to use next year. It's about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the M/T and it won't "rise" as I'm going down the track. This year was the first time in 23 years that I've dragraced and at 53 years old, I'm having more fun than I did in the 1980's. Next year, my goal is to hit the 8's. I'm not going to quit until I do. With more experience and at my weight (145 lbs) there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to.
