FS:Dymag F/R Full Carbon Wheelset for ZX9r '98-'99.

My first post, and I'm trying to sell something...so here goes!!
Hello from Jay in San Diego, CA.
I've sold my '99 ZX9r and have a set (F/R) of Dymag full Carbon 3 spoke wheels complete w/cush drive and sprocket carrier for sale. They are in outstanding condition and are so much lighter that you will never be happy with stock wheels again!! I'll also include a barely used (approx 400 mi) Sprocket Specialties 520 conversion rear sprocket ( tooth) in with the deal.
Dymags are approved for road use, unlike "other" manufacturers wheels that have "less than stellar" performance records or are only track certified. If these would fit on my '05 ZX10r, you wouldn't see these listed for sale...:-(
I have completed over 200 transactions w/100% positive feedback on (Fe)eBay (jayzx10r) so you can be assured I'm a good guy...

The rear was $2500 and the front $2000 US so I think $1500 US + actual shipping costs would be a good compromise...but I'll take the best offer...

I'm in San Diego and personal pick up with cash is OK with me, but I'll also accept a partial payment via Paypal (non-credit card transaction...funds must originate from a bank account) and/or a USPS Money Order.

This wheelset fits ONLY the '98-'99 ZX9r. I'm not saying it will not fit others...only that this is the only bike I know them to fit.

Let me know if you are (truly) interested and we can work out the details.

Pictures on request.

Thanks, Jay.

Anyone??? I'm fairly motivated to sell.... Don't let the Locktite on the front wheel scare you away...I should have wiped it off before I shot the pics!!

Hey Jay do you need to have these specially mounted or can any bike shop do it being carbonfiber? Also did you notice a big difference w/ suspension? $1500 for both correct? What's the wieght on both wheels combined?

Any shop that uses a no contact tire machine (pretty much ANY reputable shop!!) can change tires on these wheels. They are actually stronger than steel, but I wouldn't wrench a set of tire irons across the lip...

As for the differences, it is kind of hard to explain what it is like. It is so easy to change direction because there is less gyroscopic effect...
I don't know if you have the glued down puck lane dividers on your freeways like we do in California, but when you ride over one, the wheel actually follows the shape of it: up, over, and down. A standard wheel just plows over it without articulating the suspension.

As for the weight of them, they are ridiculously light. If you are truly interested, I'll take them to UPS and weigh them on their scale. They are NOTHING like stock.
I found a reference on a Dymag page to quote:
• Typical front wheels weight: 1.4 kg without hub-bearing assembly, 2.2 kg fully assembled
If a kg is 2.2lbs, that means the front is about 5lbs with bearings!! The rear is similarly light respectively.

And yes, the price is $1500 for both wheels, the cush drive, and a very lightly used rear 520 rear sprocket w/ tooth.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Jay.
