Garage looking good John! So, did you get the exhaust to fit the 600, or the 750?

Sounds like a fun project. The bike reminds me of a Harley with all the rags underneath.

Oooh... and I thought I was swinging below the belt!
And, do zooks run a tighter chain than Kawi's?

I'm just sayin', Amanda's chain doesn't look like it has a whisper of slack in it, and the red/black gixxer below it doesn't appear to either. Is it just me or is this a little odd?

LOL i will have to show that to amanda's uncle in wisconsin. He works for harley and has a neighbor that works with Danny Eslink's crew. He's giving to me pretty good about how well the buell is doing..I seen her post, we agreed that i will only ride with her on the street, and i can ride on tracknights once her surgury is done. Jess i have not got the exhaust in yet, should be here monday. Im pumped i love working on stuff and i came across that bike on another forum.. I hope to have the chassis looked at next week. As soon as its straight i will tear it apart. I plan on either sending the motor to kws or putting in a 750. Ill let you guy give me your opinion on what would be the better route.. I got a quote for 2200.00 for the motor from kws, and i think i can pu a complete 750 for around 1000.00 down in miami.I also found a link on how to shorten the can. The only thing i really cant do is the electronic(wireharness) on the bike.. So hopefully i will have somemore to look at in a week or two. Sorry its not a kawi but im stokes to be building it anyway. Sad thing is i may have to give it up when im done"yea right".

I would think that you'd be able to just get a 750 wiring harness. All of the sensors should be the same even if the hardware isn't.

Dont really know about the red gixer, but the chain on mine is tight because the rear wheel is all bent..Im sure they are similar to the zx.. Most of the stuff on my bike will be stripped and replace with new aftermarket parts. Man it figures the month of august is filled with cool bike events, and charity rides.Wish i had a bike that was in one piece..Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Dude, I agree project bikes are always fun regardless of the brand. My opinion on the motor would depend on how comfortable the riders are with the 600. If you are really comfortable with the 600 then upgrade to the 750 otherwise stick with the 600. As everyone else said be sure to update with pics. The red looks awesome, are you going to do all the sponsor decals also? Should be fun. Hopefully you get your arm back quick and can get started

Hell no. I think the coolest part about rebuilding the zookie is its so cheap over my kawasaki to make faster.. I dont know if you can see on the red and black gsxr is he has 06 R1 monoblock calipers that are much better than a 2 piece unit with ss braided brakeline and ebc calipers is sould have a top noth braking system for less than a galpher setup for the zx..Everything for my kawi is only made for that brand of bike..Im also going to use a throttle from a 07 r6 that will act like a variable poss throttle. In english it will make it hit wot faster.. When i was racing motocross this mod was a must for each different track. On a road coarse i cant see traction being a variable so i think it would help tremendously with throttle control..
I cant wait to start the teardown so i can start doing these mods.. Who knew you could get cheap speed out of a suzuki..

Zookies(love this term) do seem to be cheaper to work on than some of the others. I noticed that when I looked at them.
