I'm getting way more excited about this than I should be.

No, you don't need that. Like the Kawi's you may get an FI light if the motor itself is unplugged, but you don't need the cables and you definitely don't want to french that stupid flapper into that beautiful Akro!

Akro is uncommonly thorough in their R&D, if they found it to be necessary on your zook I'm fairly confident they would have improved it and integrated it into the system design.

Yeah, i have been reading up on the pipe..From what i have read their pretty bad ass. I want to compliment it with a power commander v with auto tune and a quick shift, and a bmc race filter and velocity stacks to start with..Depending on the limitations of the class that i will be racing in i may send the top end to kws.. It looks as though their is all kinds of cheap mods i can do first.. I have a complete 06 R1 front brake set up with ebc rotors on the way..I still have to bring it to my frame and suspension guy at gmd. I have to get the bike set up for my fat as now..Im getting super stoked about this build so far so good...

Dude once you get the frame and suspension together it will come together quick as long as you have the funds. It is looking like it is going to be a really fun build. I'm excitedd for you

Is that why you kept dumping it?
Sorry, I couldn't help that one. I had to bust your balls over something to compensate for all the gixxerlove I've been showing lately. Like
Not to mention, a good rider on a GSXR 750 has all the bike he needs to really embarrass most literbikes. I'd think a 750 in a 600 frame would be even more potent.

If you are dropping a 750 motor in it deff put 600 decals on it. Then you can prey on the weak!
Also January isn't a bad due date pretty fast rebuild when it isn't your everyday job. Also I love my 600 I'm not sure I will ever upgrade to a liter bike. Not because I don't respect them I just don't think I need one personally. To much temptation with a 600 can't imagine the temptation on a liter bike

I never really think about it as temptation. More like, never having to work for anything. Making a literbike go is just so... effortless.

I guess thats another way of looking at it. I don't know... Another thing is I have alot more I could learn from my 636.

Indeed, all a matter of perspective.
I'm not always trying to make my bike faster so I can go faster, I want it to get up and go because I'm just thinking about it.

exactly,I think im more interested in building the bike right now than anything else..With my wife surgury hopefully right around the corner its better to be in the garage than on the pavement. Its also being purpose built"for my riding style"..Dont get me wrong i love the ZX 6, and was in lust with my ZX10 but with the 08 ZX6 it fell short in the motor. I had to re-gear it to wake it up and to really get it where i wanted it i would of spent around 7k..With the liter bike it was just a matter of time before i left my wife a widow. That motor was scary, and the bike felt heavy. I loved the motor on the gsxr 6, but hated the ergo's and mosly the shitty brakes. I was however able to muscle it around really good which ultimatly lead to my accident. I got way to confident doing stupid shit on that bike(stand up wheelies, stoppies, all kinds of dumb shit)..Now im just enjoying having a little down time and looking on ebay for deals, and seeing what i can do with it..Got good news today from shans on amandas surgury so thing are well all around..This bike build is keeping me saine right now. The only problem is i still may have to get yet another gixxer for my wife when she can ride again. She doesnt fit my ZX6 oh darn Changing the oil pan that i cracked on the suzuki is kicking my ass.. Some dumbshit at suzuki didnt account for clearance to remove the bolts. One bolt in the rear is hitting the mounting brackets for the stock exhaust..May have to get out the dremmel or maybe the chop saw..I will give it another go sat.. Hopefully the front brakes fron the R1 will show up soon..I have to get new rims before i start that dont know if i want to go the route of racing wheels..Well see.. If so i may have to start to sell some parts off the lambo..Will try to keep it going at a good pace..Like i said it keeps my mind off all the other stuff that is going on around me..

Dremel or chopsaw?! I would imagine for a project of this magnitude it would be easier to just yank the motor to work on it, and have all the clearance you need. Or is the exhaust bracket part of the block casting or something? Gay ass Suzuki's. Well, they had to get them in there somehow, right? How'd they do it?

I think it is all Suzuki's. My dads Suzuki kicked my ass when I did his service. In order to take off his gas tank to check the spark plugs you have to take off the rear fender to take off the seat to take off the tank. You also had to take the speedometer off to take the tank off. It was a huge pain in the ass
