I just moved from the Charlotte area about a 6 months ago. I wish I knew there were other riders out there. It always seemed like I had trouble finding people who enjoyed the liberty of riding. Anyways ride safe and take care |

I'm about 3 hours away and I have no problem taking a trip on a weekend, but, I still have repairs to do. But I will without a doubt let you know when I am riding again. Plus I have relatives in Charlotte, so I could stay for a weekend and maybe ride a couple times in a weekend. I just need a few more weeks to complete the work. Sorry bro.

I'm in Concord and don't get to ride much but might be able to do a meet and greet sometime. Maybe meet up at Hooter's over near the Speedway and Concord Mills Mall or even Iron Thunder across from the Harley shop. If you set something up, just post it here and see if anybody can turn up.

Im about 90 minutes from crown town. If i could find a street legal bike to ride i would come down. or yall could my way up the mountains, and ill take you to some fun, fast, twisted roads.

man you dont want to go any where near the SC beaches on any kind of motorcycle right now. the new HNIC down there has created marshal law and they are trying to get rid of bike week. they are giving out tickets for all sorts of unreasonable shit

New Bern is now where they are welcoming bikes and SC is getting BAD. I hear all the time about Quaker Steak, bunch of people go there on Wens nights around and all over. I have seen pics and it is unreal!!!

bro, refer to post # 12. if you go to myrtle beach, you are going to get fucked with constantly by police, this is no bullshit. here is a small quote that barely sums up the drama going on down there.
"officials also created 15 laws governing noise levels, mandatory helmets and eye protection, along with new ones just this year regulating the use of parking lots, loitering, bar closing times, and open containers, as well as instituting an overnight curfew for those under 18."
they dont care they will ticket you, they want all motorcycles out of myrtle beach period! you can't make any noise, you have to have absolutely everything legal on your bike, lights, mirrors, license plate in the factory fender in the factory location with factory light and factory turn signals. you can't park more than one motorcycle in a parking space in any parking lot. dude its marshall law im telling you, if you do not take heed in my warning now, you will get popped bro, im just trying to look out for you.

really? well thats good man, glad you had a good time. a friend of mine road down a few weeks ago by himself on a ducati monster, not even a crotch rocket, and got pulled over 3 times and got 3 tickets.

Wow. That would of sucked if that had happened to me. I actually saw a good number of bikes still riding around down there too. |

Hey Guys...
I'm in Iraq at the moment but live in Myrtle Beach. LT is right things have got tight towards bikes but luckily I've not had any problems riding around when I was back in May. I always wear a helmet and generally behave myself ;) although the bike isn't stock no one's picked me up for it and I'll often wave to the troopers in the cars and on foot. Saved my ass the other day when I was parked on the street, I came out side a store to him looking at me with a big smile, told me I knew better and to move my bike before I got a ticket. He asked if the bike around the corner was my girls (as we were riding together) or someone I knew, when I said no he said oh well not their lucky day then. I was parked in the street opposite a car park so no excuses really lol.
Admittedly they were really cracking down leading up to bike week but I think they've eased off now.
Let me know if you have another trip planned and I'f I'm back I'll meet up!
