I'm a relatively new rider (6 months and 5500 miles) but I'm loving every minute of it and don't regret for one second that I bought a brand new 2008 ZX-10R for my first bike. I wouldn't recommend it as a first bike for everyone but it suits me just fine.
I hang out on a local forum but there aren't many Kawi lovers there. I figured I'd get a little more of that here.
Looking forward to chatting with you all and possibly riding with some of you that may live in my area.

I always say that owning a liter bike is like owning a pet tiger. As long as you know it's a tiger and treat it like a tiger you'll be fine. If you start treating it like a kitty it will maul you.
I've got a very healthy respect for my machine and I know she's sensitive so I'm extra careful. So far, so good. I rode a Ninja 250 for the first time ever last weekend and couldn't stop chuckling but boy was it a blast. A whole different kind of fun.

We always have big group rides at least once a month. And some smaller rides here and there. We just did a big run to San Diego on Sunday. Check us out over on this thread. Pictures on page 63 from Sunday. Everyone is from So Cal and usually riding Kawis, but we ride with anyone. Keep an eye out for our next run.

Welcome to the site.
Like EazyMeezy said, you should check out the ZX So Cal Meet thread. Good peeps and we hook up pretty often. There are a few with ZX10s, 1 ZX14 but mostly ZX6s mixed with a bunch of non-Kawi peeps that are friends of other Kawi folks.
