Manfest

I'm headed for Robbinsville, N.C. tomorrow morning for Manfest I (a loosely-organized rally for he-man woman-haters) Planning to ride Cherahola Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway and possible Deal's Gap just to say I did. Anyone out that way wants to tag along any day (Saturday and Sunday) shoot me a p.m. for contact info. Will be staying at the San Ran Motel.

Got home last night around 6. Total mileage around 1600 over 4 days door to door. Rode The Dragon 3 times; once each way loaded with luggage and once down without. Definitely easier going uphill. Also rode Cherahola Skwy, Blue Ridge Pkwy, 441 through Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park (foggy and wet that day), Wolf Pen Gap (my personal fave since it's mostly 3 lanes with plenty of room to screw up), Foothills Pkwy (lovely views, constant radius turns, all the tight ones are near turn-outs so plenty of warning) and various numbered roads, 19,23,38, 64,321 yada, yada, yada. Lostsa bikes everywhere. We had 10 total with riders from Illinois, Kentucky, Florida, Connecticut, and Georgia.
