Wink New Guy From the Navy in Florida

Well I don't know a whole lot about bikes, so that's ganna be obvious, and I don't really know a whole lot about why I chose the ZX-10R for my first bike other than I also bought a R1 and reviews say they are the two best, I also got my girl a GSX-R1000, she's alot more into it coming off a Hayabusa.

What insainity drove me to pick up a liter bike? LOL You must wonder what makes me think I can just jump on a liter bike?

I have a 1989 Mustang GT 429ci 91BB Turbo EFI monster that's why, and it's really nice to ride a bike, neutral was hard to find at first, just riding friends bikes here and there til I get into it, but big speed bug on my end, enough ticket's to wise up and stay track side though.

I suppose need start by asking besides exhaust, what kind of mods are important to make on a bike? I've got a 12'o clock bar setup going too cuz I like to snap up the wheel etc, but performance where do I start?

Thx ahead of time...

you have more money than sense. put a turbo and a shot of nitrous on there, along with - 2 + 12 gears and shorten the swingarm.

I kind of grew up in Jax. I live in the Tampa Bay area now.

Is this post for real? 12 o'clock bar? Doesn't make sense. BTW, do you know what gear is? Have you considered wearing a helmet?
How bout posting some pics of the three liter bikes you just bought. Mayport is full of squids...........

I don't care how fast the car you drive is...comparing it to a liter bike is like comparing a Civic to an F1 car. I wish you the best.

Yeah, I am finding it really hard to believe that someone in the military has the money to buy 3 liter bikes. Why don't you put up some pics so that we can finally believe you :P

LOL I ordered the ZX-10R and GSX-R1000, but considering insurance drop on the stang I reconsidered the Yamaha, right after finding that 7less mpg to be a problem of sorts on a leg I go every year in the desert.

Not when your mustang goes 7.8secs 1\4 mile, the bike is alot slower, and will probably never be as fast, I wonder if I could even trust myself on bike goes that fast, probably ruin my nice helmet...

I have scorpion gear, helmet, gloves, prefer my converse while riding, switch to boots in my back pack.

Ya I took the course, it's free so uhh duh, and required to get on base, but 09's as they are they havn't shipped yet, expect confirmation in July, reception in August, still owe like 16k on the pair, but with no insurance requirement in my home port setup using military I don't have to insure them against cost replacement none of that, just legal state I enter longer than 30 days meet they're requirements for insure all good.

NOS? I'm sorry nitrous is not fun, and NOS sucks as a brand, NX or fail, but I don't like the idea of four pistons doing action under my ass with bottle force fed oxidizer, Maybe in front of me, but not under me, toying with Turbo though, may do that, but that's ton's safer in my experience, since I do build turbo's, have the schooling to do it etc.

Lot fun, I've been around bikes awile, dad loved them, I just never rode a liter til now, compaired to the mustang, ZX is docile turn loving turbo porshe, perfect DD...

just curious what do you think is going to happen if you hit the 12 o'clock bar on a 1000 with stock gearing? your just going to set it right back down nice and strait huh, just like the wheelie bars on your mustang. same principle right?

I always thought it was gay sounding. I was using it as a joke.

I call B.S.

look at his myspace, pics of his mustang all are a typical 15 second GT, oh but there tagged OLD motor, 7.8 huh, weres the tubed out rear, etc. all his pics of bikes are generic photos pulled off line, 09's arnt here yet...c'mon, 09 zx10 have been here for almost 2 months, R1 have been here for atleast 3 weeks, some say longer, now gixxer i havnt seen yet, oh the R1 he changed his mind cuz it gets 7 miles to the gallon less???? NOS sucks as a brand...yeah, their only the pioneers in nitrous tech, they suck!!!

I call douche bag!!!

LMAO you don't understand the idea of a sleeper... I don't have pics posted because it's the common white conversion GT to Cobra (retaining stock wing) with Cowl 4inch Hood, by Cervini, she's regular in Kent WA, she's on the rack right now being tuned and repaired after black focus hit her, you wanna talk about that hit me up on myspace.

I don't have a kill record as high undefeated for no reason, R1, Hayabusa, and ZX-14's are common easy prey, I don't need more than her 14psi full street setup, which is like "Wait let me add water in the gas tank you might have a chance in four miles!"

I don't really care, I'm not here to make money racing, I asked what are common mods because I don't know, who's more dumb?

I would have gotten an answer from the Mustang Forums like "Steeda makes suspension" something to at least go on, no one likes a dumbass that uses cheap parts going racing. I got a bonus too, 7 thousand, so that's how I got the bikes, not alone of course, had a job with Ford before that went downhill, took agreement to get out early.

Jackie is the name of the Mustang, you'll have to beat my Volvo before you can race the big guns LOL
