Hi all,
As some of you may be aware for the last 18 years there has been an annual Welsh National Motorcycle Show which has taken place at the Royal Welsh showground in Powys.
Well this year on the grounds that there "might be trouble" the police have had the show cancelled with basically absolutely no notice to those who were going to participate. It was to take place on the 23-36 may.

Testing the waters to see if anyone is up for a peaceful protest ride on the bank holiday monday, any one interested?

Legal threat as bike show dropped

The Dyfed-Powys police in their wisdom cancelled the Welsh Motorcycle show at the Royal Welsh Showground this year (2008) with the paranoia that there may be some throwback from the death of the Hells Angel member on the way back from the Bulldog bash last year.

This has no substance whatsoever, and many bikers are making the annual run to Builth Wells this year as usual, this is in support of the rally and also to support the local businesses who have already forked out the cash to stock up ready for the peaceful annual event.

The newly formed Rally Action Group Cymru (http://www.rag-cymru.co.uk) are suggesting a run to Builth Wells on the Bank Holiday Monday to support the businesses and also to raise funds to help support the organisers to issue legal action against this injustice.

the website will give all the information on locations of pick up points, or anyone wishing to make their own way, we are all converging at the town centre about 1pm. The more, the merrier for this peaceful bank holiday family run.
