Everything that you said is correct, I agree it is not the proper size rim for the tire, but many people do use it and like it (it's probably more mental). Quite a few AMA 600 S.S. racers were running the 190/60 GPA's on 5.5" rears last season with very good results, but like you said these are DOT race tires. Dunlop has not even developed a 180 DOT race tire in the 209 N-Tech or the new 211 N-Tech. Sorry for hijacking your thread mlo
