Of course both motorycycle's are perfectly capable of carrying 2 people, however I would suggest getting a 14. For one, the 10's seat is a very small triangle that doesn't exactly fit everything on there, it's ok for the short rides but stay away from anything over 10min. It starts to hurt and is very hard and somewhat uncomfortable from what I hear. The 14 though not as nimble as the 10r, is ALOT more comfy by far(so I hear) and has a larger seat and is slightly more cushiony because of the bigger size, apparently kawasaki has been keeping touring in mind during the developement of this one. So if one day you do decide to go for a really nice long ride, you can go for it and no butt-pain. Also, I have seen people knee-drag on a 14 believe it or not, the turns aren't quite as tight though, but it gets the job done. Besides, that's what your duc is for right? But your call man. Get what you like. Just my $0.02
