Man oh man if you bought a bike with 2.2 million miles then i hope its for collection purposes.....i hope you mean 22k and that the oil was changed at 7k and 15k respectively, in which case hes a bit behind with what someone should do for a zx-10r...i would change it straight away...

As for the oil itself the castrol oil you got is good stuff....it is from castrol's motorcycle line right? now that theyve changed all the names im a bit lost...

But anyway 5w40 is what i use in Switzerland....5w is great for cold start-ups when its friggin cold outside....but unless its regularly below 50 degrees during the day 5w is a bit overkill and 10w is fine....as far as heat is concerned 40 is recommended for most climates, for arizona heat and a zx-10r the oil you should really be looking for is a 10w50...in fact the same oil you bought comes in a 10w50 version too; Castrol Power RS 4T 10w50
