Just for heck of it, I found a 07 ZX 1600miles, For Sale in NC., near my home. I called the Salemans and tried to work up a deal. He was going strong, then told him I had cash money... It was a done deal....then..
I asked him about the
recall....the phone went silent...he said he would call back... OK.l.. 15 minutes later, after he talked with the Service Manager the bike was not longer For Sales....just as you all noted...they were waiting on the "bolt kit" to tear down the bike and inspect the frame. He also said he would have the Service Manger call me and explain the issue. I could tell in his voice, they took the real "serious"
We talked a minute more, and the Salesmen and Service Manager was surprised that they have NOT seen a " line back to the SC border" of bikes in for checkout.
So even if you DID NOT get a letter.....get this checked! and if you did and plan to do nothing
...I hope the wife has a job!!!
