hes looking for somone that has their gauges taken apart and put the faces on a scanner- hence the hi res. what you do with the pics of the gauges is (if put in the correct scale) you can photoshop whatever colors/design backgrounds and then print on "best" photo paper you can find...you can go a step further and laminate them for durability, and you have your very own very custom set of gauge face lay overs...did it on my old ford bronco, turned out great but moisture eventually destroyed them. if you search around you can find a good writeup with step by step.
as far as removing needles, just dont do it-unless you know of some special way that i dont know of...mine were a little inaccurate, still in the ballpark by 2-3mph but just an annoyance. i believe there is a technique to make a clean cut down from the middle of the gauge and just slide them over the needles-but i havnt tried ever.
