I wouldn't necessarily agree with the avoiding freeways, the 250 gets to 70 a hell of a lot quicker than the average car, but by no means would I want to do more than a 30 mile commute at 70mph, just cause riding along at 7500 rpm for a half hour would strike me as a little annoying. I do a 13 mile commute daily with mine, but it's a 55mph speed limit. After 2500 miles, I still love my 250, but I will be looking to get a ZZR 600 or something like that come next year. The 250 is a great beginner's bike and short-distance commuter. And one upside, the 250 is AWESOME on gas, 15 bucks will get me 200 miles, a hell of a lot better than a bigger cc bike!
