had a close call yesterday and was reminded of this thread. Coming to stoplight in the middle of the a right sweep, the light changed and the 2 cars in front of me stopped. I was doing like 50 on the VFR, wet street from recent rain and on the left lane with a shorte space than on the right. The brakes on the VFR are worthless, so I figured that my only chance was to squeeze between the car on the right lane and the one coming to a stop behind it. Somehow I managed not to panic and remembered not to grab the front as they taught us on the MSF, kept upright while unconsciously (and luckily) locked up the rear brake and the VFR broke into a skid that went left to right and right between the car in front and the one coming in behind it. Stopped safely on the far right shoulder, asshole tight shut, heart pumping and a goofy grin on my face

. One of those terryfying-but-fun experiences I don't want to repeat for a while( would like to learn how to deliberately do that in the future, tho)
