Can't really compare it to an older ninja but I can compare it to the K1200S I put 16k on in 18 months. The K was a very comfortable fast bike. I could easily do 300 - 500 days. However, I did have a problem with that bike and my fingers going to sleep.
So far I've not put a long one on the ZX but I'm pretty comfortable on her. Don't have any issues with my wrists, hands or fingers and the bike is very smooth with a good riding position due to it's long wheelbase. Expect to get a fair amount of wind across the shoulders and upper chest. Also a fair amount of heat against your calf an thigh, not too bad though. I too had considered moving to the Connie but also decided I just wasn't ready for the size and heft. Go for it dude, you'll be happy with your decision.
