Halogen vs HID is pretty easy comparison. Most halogens are around 55/100 watts and the HID only puts out 35w with more lumen's than a halogen bulb. HID's are more expensive but last longer and are much brighter than halogen. If you do end up getting HIDs I'd recommend getting 4300 to 6000k. The temperate is the amount of lumen's it produces, 4300 is what most BMW's come with OEM. 6000 is a white color with blue tint to it. Anything higher than 6000 will be blue to purple. It may look nice but wont be as bright as 4300 or 6000. The higher the temperate doesn't mean the brighter it will be, just the color in which the light produces. Installation is extremely straight forward as well. Theres no cutting of wires or splicing needed at all. For the most part it's all plug and play.If you have any questions feel free to PM me. I hope this helps you in deciding which is best for you.
