neat/odd little problem. suggestions?

I've a 2003 ZX9R, just changed the oil and the spark plugs...I had hoped the new plugs would fix the problem, but no such luck.

When I start my bike, it'll kick in and start and go....nooo problems. After I ride for a bit and get to my destination, I turn my bike off. Herein comes the problem. After turning the bike off, it will not start again....at least not until *she* is ready.

What I mean is, hit the starter and it'll try and try and try. Sometimes it'll burp, as if it were going to turn over, but not....but most of the time it just keeps turning and turning without doing anything else.

After a while of turning off the bike, and turning it on again, and after sitting for 5-10 minutes, it'll start again. When it does decide to start, it does so without any problems at all, as if nothing were wrong to begin with.

Ideas?
