Different machines for different uses MrMuscle. The 14 is a sledgehammer while the 9R is more like a scalpel.. Unquestionably the 14 is the faster accelerating machine..no comparison there. The 12R is, in my opinion, far quicker accelerating overall than a 9R as well. Although I personally almost never do full throttle from standing starts, my riding impression of the three bears that out. However when the road becomes twisty, you'll find the 9R comes alive..and with a few minor suspension adjustments, will lose a well adjusted 12 or 14 fairly easily when given a a mile or so of medium to tight corners. That's where those fewer 55+ kilos make their absence known...
