I have been meaning to saw the bolt off some and readjust mine but I really don't use the rear brake for much [unless I am in a parking lot or manuevering slow downhill through gravel etc.]
I do not like to use the rear brake while trail braking/ cornering because it can get you into trouble real fast.. Better to do like Kenny Roberts said and go in slower but come out fast! I added a gizmo called a T.C.B. that limits the rear brake lock up and simulates ASB brakes.. It basically has some sort of spring loaded valve that releases some of the brake pressure in a cycle to help you feel when the brakes are about to lock up.
Works pretty good for the ZX14 rear brake (which has a tendency to lock up the rear wheel too easily)
Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down! <Speedy><

I'll have to look into the TCB unit....
I trail brake....always have....been doing it for 100,000 miles or so and haven't had any problems so far, but then again I'm real careful when doing it. My riding style is hard into the corners and very hard out of the corners and usually I carry way to much speed into them (and the ZX14 doesn't make it any easier to slow my corner entry)......
