well that pice with the wires is like a cold start controller. and you need it. there is a piece you can get from leo vince and a few other companies. it basically gets rid of the wires that come from the controller and the piece you will need basically fits on the controller and gives the controller a false reading that everything is okay.
when you recieved the yoshi exhaust was it new. if so look through the box and or look on the instructions, you should have recieved something that will eliminate that problem. hope this helps
