We started work yesterday on project Lucifers Hammer by stripping off all the excess rubbish off the bike, the aim is to now get it as light as possable to increase power to weight and to get it handling sharper. I'd like to get its total dry weight below 200Kg so a lot has yet to be either cut off or replaced with lighter weight items.
The full race engine has now been slotted into the frame as well and a set of R6 aftermarket tail lights fitted for appearence and weight saving, the stock fairing has been done away with and replaced with a KLE500 nose cone as the KLE is of the same vintage and family lines of the ZZR. The std instruments will be replaced with a set of super small digital instruments or ill cut up the originals and fit only the speedo and a set of shift lights etc.[IMG]
